Programme Aims
課程宗旨

Hong Kong is an international fashion business centre. Many international enterprises have set up regional offices in Hong Kong and their businesses have spread over the neighbouring countries. Renowned international fashion brands have also been developing their markets in Hong Kong and China in recent years.
 
The Fashion Branding and Buying consists of a wide range of activities in the spectrum of the whole supply-demand pipeline, including fashion brand promotion, fashion e-business, product development, global buying and sourcing, digital fashion marketing, fashion retail management, visual merchandising and fashion display design, etc.

This programme is designed to enable students to have jobs in different areas of Fashion Branding and Buying, emphasizing students’ international exposure.  Students will find the programme both practical and creative, through different learning experiences such as overseas exchanges, local and overseas industrial visits, industrial collaborative projects and industrial attachments with international fashion brands and companies.  Professional knowledge and technology in fashion branding and digital marketing, trend analysis, fashion e-business, global fashion buying, fashion product development, materials and technology form the core components of the programme from which students can select one of the specific study scopes in (1) buying and retail management, (2) product development and sourcing, or (3) visual merchandising and branding.
 
This programme is also designed with an emphasis on generic, language and communication training, whole-person development and workplace experience to better prepare students for further studies and employment after graduation.

香港是一個國際性的時裝商業中心,很多國際時裝企業都在香港設有辦事處,其業務遍及鄰近地區。而近年來很多知名的時裝品牌亦開始大力發展香港及中國市場。
 
時裝品牌策劃及採購包括一系列在時裝供求管道中不同環節的活動,包括時裝品牌推廣、電子時裝商務、產品研發、環球採購、時裝數碼營銷、時裝零售管理、視覺營銷及時裝展示設計等。

本課程旨在培育畢業生在時裝品牌策劃及採購不同的領域內工作,及豐富學員的國際視野 。學生透過不同的學習經驗,例如海外交流、本地及海外業界參觀、業界合作專案、及與國際品牌及機構實習等,以加強創意及實務訓練。課程設計則以專業的時裝知識及時裝科技為核心,例如時裝品牌及數碼營銷、潮流分析、電子時裝商務、環球時裝採購、時裝產品開發、物料及科技等。學生並可選擇(一)採購及零售管理、(二)產品研發及供應營銷管理或(三)視覺營銷及品牌策劃其中一個分流作就業或升學的專業取向。

本課程亦著重通識教育、語文及傳意訓練、全人發展和職場工作體驗,為學生畢業後繼續升學或就業作更佳裝備

Programme Stream
課程分流

Students may choose one of the following streams so as to enhance professional knowledge and skills in specific areas:

  • Higher Diploma in Fashion Branding and Buying (Buying and Retail Management)
  • Higher Diploma in Fashion Branding and Buying (Product Development and Sourcing)
  • Higher Diploma in Fashion Branding and Buying (Visual Merchandising and Branding)

The 1st semester is a common semester. Students will progress to the streams in the 2nd semester, subject to their stream choice, academic performance and study place availability in specific streams.

課程設有以下分流供同學選擇,以加強相關的專業知識及技能:

  • 時裝品牌策劃及採購(採購及零售管理)高級文憑
  • 時裝品牌策劃及採購(產品研發及供應營銷管理)高級文憑
  • 時裝品牌策劃及採購(視覺營銷及品牌策劃)高級文憑

第一學期為共修課程。第二學期起修讀以上分流,入讀分流視乎學額情況按同學之選擇及成績分配。

Career Prospects
就業前景

Graduates may be employed in local and international fashion enterprises as fashion brand executive, digital fashion marketing officer, fashion e-business planner, fashion visual merchandiser, fashion buyer, and fashion merchandiser. Job scopes include brand management, fashion marketing and promotion, fashion product development, trading and merchandising, visual merchandising and display design.

畢業生可受聘於本地及國際時裝品牌企業,成為時裝品牌策劃人、數碼時裝營銷專員、電子時裝商務策展人、時裝視覺營銷設計師、時裝買手、及時裝採購管理員等工作,負責時裝品牌管理、時裝市務推廣、產品研發、時裝貿易、商品視覺營銷及展示設計等工作。
